BIRDS OF PREY AVIAN CENTER

The Birds of Prey Avian Conservation Center is designated in the USCG Area Contingency Plan as the official repository for oiled birds in South Carolina and maintains situational readiness in this crucial role. The facility is designed and equipped to provide the highest quality medical care available for injured birds of prey and shorebirds on a daily basis. “I have traveled worldwide and seen countless centers and this is the absolute best of its kind I have ever seen anywhere” said Jack Hanna, Director Emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and the Wilds. My brother and I visited the center in 2015. Some of the images are displayed here.
